…is one of the remedies that Dr. Bach grouped under the category of fear.

Mimulus is the remedy for known fears. Whenever you feel frightened or anxious about something specific, and you know exactly what you’re afraid of, Mimulus is the correct remedy to take.
Mimulus fears are clear and identifiable: fear of public speaking, the dark, aggressive dogs, illness, or pain. Even phobias—such as fear of spiders, birds, or open spaces—fall under the influence of Mimulus when the fear is consciously recognized.
Mimulus is also used as a personality remedy for those who naturally tend to be nervous, timid, or shy. These individuals may blush easily, stammer, or avoid social situations and events where they might be in the spotlight. Their cautious nature often leads them to sidestep challenges rather than confront them.
The Positive Potential of Mimulus
Mimulus helps uncover the quiet courage and inner strength that lies within all of us. It supports individuals in facing everyday fears with greater confidence and resilience. Those who benefit from Mimulus learn to approach challenges with a sense of humor and self-assurance, standing up for themselves while maintaining emotional balance.
With Mimulus, fear no longer dictates the choices you make—life becomes something to embrace rather than avoid.
Dr Bach’s description of Mimulus
Fear of worldly things, illness, pain, accidents, poverty, of dark, of being alone, of misfortune. The fears of everyday life. These people quietly and secretly bear their dread, they do not freely speak of it to others.

…is one of the remedies that Dr Bach grouped together under the heading Fear.
Introduction to the sixth Bach Flower on my blog @AngelaWuerz.com
The Cherry Plum fear is very specific: it is the fear that one is going to lose control of oneself and do something dreadful, such as injuring others or harming oneself. Fears of going mad and of acting irrationally are Cherry Plum states.
Cherry Plum is also the remedy for a loss of control that has already taken place, because of the frantic fear and dread associated with such situations. Just like a small child feels throwing an irrational tantrum: this too is a Cherry Plum state.
The positive potential of Cherry Plum is the person who has a calm mind and is able to think and act rationally.
Dr Bach’s description
Fear of the mind being over-strained, of reason giving way, of doing fearful and dreaded things, not wished and known wrong, yet there comes the thought and impulse to do them.

…Aspen is often referred to as “the trembling tree” as its leaves seem to shiver and whisper with the wind. Needless to say Aspen ist one of the fear remedies. Not just any fear – it helps with unknown fears. When you feel apprehension, an anxious anticipation, some kind of foreboding or dread. However when you ask what he or she is afraid of, there is no specific fear present and the person cannot explain why they are fearful.
The positive potential of Aspen is a state of inner peace, security and fearlessness. Apprehension is replaced by a desire for adventure and new experiences, disregar- ding difficulties and dangers.
Dr Bach’s description of Aspen
Vague unknown fears, for which there can be given no explanation, no reason. Yet the patient may be terrified of something terrible going to happen, he knows not what. These vague unexplainable fears may haunt by night or day. Sufferers often are afraid to tell their trouble to others.
