…is one of the remedies that Dr. Bach grouped under the category of loneliness.
Introduction to the eighteenth Bach Flower on my blog @AngelaWuerz.com
Impatiens is the perfect remedy for those who find themselves easily irritated or frustrated. They are often impatient and want everything done immediately, thinking, acting, and speaking quickly. These individuals are highly capable and efficient but may become exasperated with slower co-workers, often preferring to work alone. They dislike wasting time and sometimes finish other people’s sentences in their haste.
Those in need of Impatiens may experience brief temper flare-ups, although these pass quickly. When unwell, they tend to be restless and irritable, making them fidgety patients. Their impatience can sometimes lead to accident-proneness.
The positive potential of Impatiens is a person who remains decisive and spontaneous while showing greater patience and thoughtfulness in their actions. They are relaxed, good-humoured, and understanding toward those who are slower. With this balance, they approach challenges calmly and diplomatically, fostering harmony in both personal and professional settings.
Dr. Bach’s description:
“Those who are quick in thought and action and who wish all things to be done without hesitation or delay. When ill, they are anxious for a hasty recovery. They find it very difficult to be patient with people who are slow, as they consider it wrong and a waste of time, and they will endeavour to make such people quicker in all ways. They often prefer to work and think alone, so that they can do everything at their own speed.”

Heather is one of the remedies Dr. Bach categorized under loneliness. This fourteenth Bach Flower Remedy, featured on my blog at AngelaWuerz.com, addresses a unique emotional state that affects many.
Who Is Heather For?
Heather is ideal for individuals who are overly preoccupied with their own concerns or ailments, often struggling to engage in genuine two-way communication. These individuals tend to:
Exaggerate their symptoms or make minor issues seem overwhelming.
Exhibit extreme neediness, driving others away.
Talk compulsively, often dominating conversations without showing interest in others.
Seek out company constantly, as they dislike being alone.
Heather types may unintentionally drain the energy of those around them, as their focus remains fixed on their own challenges. Their rapid speech, close physical proximity, and need for attention can make others avoid them, further intensifying their loneliness.
The Positive Potential of Heather
When balanced, Heather’s positive potential shines through. Those who resonate with this remedy can transform into empathetic, selfless listeners who generously help others. They gain the ability to channel their own experiences of suffering into deep understanding and support for others, creating meaningful and compassionate connections.
Dr. Bach’s Original Description:
“Those who are always seeking the companionship of anyone who may be available, as they find it necessary to discuss their own affairs with others, no matter whom it may be. They are very unhappy if they have to be alone for any length of time.” – The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies
