Clematis
…is one of the remedies that Dr Bach grouped together in: “Not sufficient interest in current circumstances”.
Introduction to the ninth Bach Flower on my blog @AngelaWuerz.com
Clematis is for individuals who often retreat into their own world, showing little interest in the realities of daily life. They struggle to stay present, finding it difficult to focus on the here and now.
These individuals are usually dissatisfied, longing for a better future but not taking active steps to create change. They may have a poor memory and difficulty paying attention to details, often seeming absent-minded or low in energy.
Preferring solitude, they avoid conflict by withdrawing. When unwell, they may lack the motivation to take steps toward recovery. Clematis personalities can also exhibit a strong romantic streak and, in cases of grief, may yearn to reunite with a loved one who has passed. Their lack of focus can sometimes make them accident-prone.
Clematis is particularly helpful for children who struggle with concentration—not due to lack of ability, but because their minds often wander into daydreams.
The positive potential of Clematis is a lively interest in the world around, and enjoyment of life. Positive Clematis people are open to inspiration and fulfil their creative potential, for instance in art, writing, design, fashion, or healing. Realistic and down to earth, they have a sense of purpose and recognise that the future is shaped by the present. They are well grounded and able to control their thoughts.
Dr. Bach’s description
Those who are dreamy, drowsy, not fully awake, no great interest in life. Quiet people, not really happy in their present circumstances, living more in the future than in the present; living in hopes of happier times, when their ideals may come true. In illness, some make little or no effort to get well, and in certain cases may even look forward to death, in the hope of better times; or maybe, meeting again some beloved one whom they have lost.
